To achieve the mission of the Oakville Arts Council, the 4 goals of the Oakville Arts Council are:

ADVOCACY - The Oakville Arts Council shall advocate, lobby, represent, lead, make the case for, support, educate, and raise the public consciousness on behalf of Art, Artists and Arts Organizations in Oakville.

COMMUNICATION - The Oakville Arts Council shall bring public awareness to the Arts, Artists and the Arts Organizations to the community by serving as the definitive Arts information service in Oakville, promoting the Arts in Oakville, and increasing the visibility of the Oakville Arts Council.

ENABLING - The Oakville Arts Council shall enable the Artists and Arts Organizations to cultivate Art and enrich the creative life of the Community of Oakville.

The Oakville Arts Council promotes arts and culture in Oakville. We are a not-for-profit charitable, umbrella organization representing a large and diverse membership from the Oakville arts community. Formed in 1978, the Oakville Arts Council strives to bring the best in arts and culture to the community. The Oakville Arts Council continually provides opportunities for residents to participate in and explore the realm of local arts and culture.
