Fifth Anniversary - "A Celebration of Song"

Highlights of the Canadian Croatian Choral Society’s first five years of performances, as selected by Artistic Director Edward J. Mavrinac, will delight you with a diverse presentation of various musical styles. This captivating DVD features traditional Croatian selections along with well-loved classical selections such as the resounding opera choruses, U Boj U Boj (Zajc), Verdi’s Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves as well as Beethoven’s Ode to Joy in the Croatian language. An impressive testament of this choir’s choral diversity can be seen in the varied repertoire including Gregorian chant as well as a French Canadian and a Japanese song. Additional guest performances include a powerful czardas, exquisite choreography and a lovely guitar interpretation of Arlen’s Over the Rainbow.
