Profile Statement
The Oakville Players is a non-profit, community theatre group based in the Oakville Ontario area since 1962, and is a founding member of the Oakville Drama Series. We are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of amateur theatre in the Oakville area.
Through consultation and collaboration, our executive board, the membership, and other community volunteers produce two main stage productions each year at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts and a one act training event in a small studio, and participate in various community events such as Culture Days, thereby entertaining thousands of audience members with live theatre experiences. We are committed to providing the highest quality, engaging and affordable, theatrical productions possible; educating and training students, emerging artists, and community volunteers in various aspects of theatre; and fostering co-operation and collaboration in the regional community to promote theatre.
